Funding Opportunities

 Australia-Wide – Skills Checkpoint (for people 45-70 years old)

Transformed works in partnership with both Skills Checkpoint providers (Verto and Busy-at-Work) to undertake a skills check and to provide a subsidy of up to $2,000 for any qualification or short courses Transformed offers.

To be eligible you must be:

  • aged 45-70;
  • an Australian citizen or permanent resident;
  • employed and at risk of entering the income support system; or
  • unemployed for less than three months and not receiving employment assistance

This funding subsidy applies to all qualifications offered by Transformed.

South Australia Government – Department of Innovation and Skills

Transformed has access to Apprenticeship and Traineeships in South Australia for the following qualifications:

We also have places available for subsidised training (online/correspondence mode) for:

All Participants must:

  • reside or work in South Australia;


  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
  • be a permanent Australian resident; or
  • hold a State sponsored visa on a pathway to permanent residency; or
  • hold a humanitarian temporary visa of a class specified by the Minister from time to time;

and are

  • aged 16 years or over, and not enrolled in school; or
  • aged 16 years or over, enrolled in school and undertaking training through identified subsidised arrangements; or
  • undertaking training through a Training Contract as an apprentice or trainee.
  • Have a registered USI

South Australia – Apprenticeships and Traineeships

The following qualifications are subsidised in South Australia under an Apprenticeship or Traineeship:


You student may be eligible for subsidised training if they live or work in South Australia, and are:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen
  • a permanent Australian resident
  • the holder of a state sponsored visa on a pathway to permanent residency (see Eligible visa types)
    and are:
  • 16 years or over and not enrolled at school, or
  • 16 years or over, enrolled in school and undertaking training through an identified pathway, or
  • undertaking training through a training contract as an apprentice or trainee in identified courses.

NSW Government Smart and Skilled FY20-21

Transformed has places available in FY2020-21 contract period for the following qualifications for the Sydney postcode region under the Targeted Priorities Full Qualifications Program.
This subsidized training entitlement is for commencement of training from 1 July 2020 (online/correspondence mode).

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.

Please note that if you want to completed the qualifications to gain a building licence in NSW you will need to enrol in and complete the Certificate IV first before enrolling in the Diploma of Building.

NSW Government Smart and Skilled Entitlement Apprenticeships and Traineeships Program

Transformed also has spaces available for Smart and Skilled Apprenticeships and Traineeships in all NSW regions the following qualifications:

Regions include: Capital Region, Central Coast, Central West, Coffs Harbour – Grafton, Far West and Orana, Hunter Valley (excl Newcastle), Illawarra, Mid North Coast, Murray, New England and North West, Newcastle & Lake Macquarie, Richmond – Tweed, Riverina, Southern Highlands & Shoalhaven, Sydney.

NSW Government – Fee Free Scholarships

People who are experiencing or have experienced domestic and family violence and/or their dependant(s) may be eligible for free training that is funded by the NSW government under the Smart and Skilled initiative. Please go to to find out more.

NSW Government – Jobs for Tomorrow Scholarships

People with skills in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) are in high demand. If you are interested in training in these skills, you may be eligible for a $1,000 Jobs of Tomorrow scholarship under the NSW Government’s Smart and Skilled Program.

From 2016, the NSW Government are offering 25,000 scholarships over four years to students commencing selected qualifications under Smart and Skilled.

Transformed offers the CPP41119 Certificate IV in Home Energy Efficiency and Sustainability qualification which is an identified STEM qualification.

QLD – Construction Skills Queensland 2020/21

Transformed has secured a limited number of places under Construction Skills Queensland’s subsidised funding arrangements for existing workers in the Civil Construction industry to gain a nationally recognised qualification in line with industry standards.

Training and assessment is offered via distance learning or recognition of prior learning (RPL).

We also offer a Fast track face-to-face RPL assessment: whilst the assessment comes with a premium cost, the benefits to the student and employer out way the price. This is a very effective, time efficient assessment approach which gives the candidates immediate access to the assessor, ability to source evidence directly from the workplace and fill gaps and prompts effective time management due to completion within a quick time frame

Construction Skills Queensland’s eligibility conditions are;

Be existing workers currently employed in the Building and Construction industry who has one month or more employment relationship with their employer. The working relationship can be full time, part time or casual employment or engaged as a contract worker.

An eligible worker – relevant clerical, administration and professional workers employed by organisations who are part of the Queensland Building and Construction Industry.

An unemployed eligible worker is a person who has been unemployed for a period of not greater than 6 months that would otherwise meet the requirements of an eligible worker.

And must be:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
  • a permanent resident of Australia; or
  • a holder of a refugee or humanitarian visa;
  • And must:
  • Permanently reside in Queensland; or
  • Be permanently employed in Queensland.

Must NOT be:

  1. currently enrolled and participating in a school program; or
  2. a contracted trainer and assessor or an existing worker of any RTO; or
  3. already funded by an Authority or other such source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this program; or
  4. Previously funded under this program in the same program contract period.

Students will also be required to:

  • Complete a Transformed Self-Assessment to validate level of experience
  • Sign a disclosure (a declaration that you meet the CSQ eligibility requirements to obtain funding assistance).

ACT Government – Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships

Funding through the form of apprenticeships and traineeships are available for existing workers and new workers of all ages. Transformed works with employers to gain relevant funding and manage the training plan through to completion for the individual or group.

Transformed can deliver the following qualifications under an apprenticeship or traineeship in the ACT for new or existing workers:

New Worker: Person who has been employed within an enterprise for less than three (3) months full-time or twelve (12) months part-time or casually prior to commencing an Australian Apprenticeship.

Existing Worker: 
Person who is currently employed. Eligibility criteria as define in the Australian Apprenticeship Compliance Guides.

ACT Government – Skilled Capital 2020

Skilled Capital is an ACT Government funded training initiative. Skilled Capital offers a comprehensive range of services to provide Canberrans the support they need to complete the training that is right for them. Skilled Capital will improve access to high quality training in areas of skills needs and maximise improved employment opportunities for students.

Please note a student tuition fee of up to $500 is payable on commencement.

The eligibility requirements are:

  • an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand passport holder resident for more than 6 months, or
  • an eligible visa holder, and
  • living or working in the ACT, and
  • at least 15 years of age, and
  • not enrolled in or attending secondary school or college except where the student:
    • is undertaking a course of study leading to completion of year 12 in an alternative program, or has an Exemption Certificate and the selected Skilled Capital qualification is an approved Australian School-based Apprenticeship pathway.

Previous education and training will not impact your eligibility for Certificate III qualifications and above. However, you cannot be funded for a qualification you have completed within the last 7 years. Also, you can only be subsidised for 1 Skilled Capital qualification at a time.
