AIPM Certification

Project Management Certification

Do you want recognition for your considerable project management experience?

Define yourself amongst many candidates with similar experience next time you go for an interview.

The AIPM Registered Project Manager (RegPM) project management certification is the most recognised indicator of current project management proficiency in Australia and is based solely on knowledge, skills and experience (competency).

Getting a project management certification from the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) assists you to stand out from other project managers and lets employers know you have a demonstrated track record in managing critical projects. This is particularly critical in the current economic climate where organisations are much more selective as to who they employ and the market is much more competitive.

Besides, according to a recent survey by AIPM, certified project managers get paid more!

For those with the relevant experience, there is no need to study, attend classes or read books.

Project management certification gives you the recognition you need to win the highest-paid, and most exciting and prestigious jobs. Whether you are an aspiring project manager or need to renew your credentials, project management certification provides instant recognition that your knowledge, skills and experience are up to the highest professional project management standard.

Depending on your most recent project experience, there are four project management certification levels to consider:

CPPP – ‘Certified Practicing Project Practitioner’ for project team members
CPPM – ‘Certified Practicing Project Manager’ for managers of projects
CPSPM - 'Certified Practicing Senior Project Manager' - for senior project managers that manage difficult and high risk projects
CPPD – ‘Certified Practicing Project Director’ for project directors and program managers
CPPE - 'Certified Practicing Portfolio Executives' – Portfolio managers who monitor a series of projects and evaluate what projects are most beneficial towards the whole organisations strategy.

Transformed can help you determine the best project management certification level to apply for and provide comprehensive support.

There are no pre-requisites, jobs or tests, just the demonstration of your current project management expertise. Don't miss out on your next job because someone was certified and you were not! Questions? See our AIPM Certification FAQs or Contact Us to get started today.

How does it work? The Certification Process

A qualified Transformed assessor can work with you to collate the appropriate evidence of your project management experience, gain testimonials from key people and complete your project management certification application.
It is important to work with an assessor that understands your work experience. Transformed assessors have conducted hundreds of project management certification assessments across the following industries:

  • Information and communications technology
  • Logistics
  • Defence
  • Engineering
  • Government
  • Facilities management and construction

To make it as simple as possible, Transformed has analysed the competencies and streamlined the project management certification assessment process.

This means:

  • We talk in project management language, not trainer and assessor jargon
  • You undertake an assessment interview, rather than having to write a statement of claims which can be over 60 pages
  • You are provided all the templates for self-assessments and third-party reports, meaning it is quick and easy for your referees to provide a report
  • We provide you with a list of evidence you need to collate, rather given you a set of competency standards which you need to try and figure out.
  • We can offer a cost-effective solution for those looking to combine industry certification with a nationally recognised project management qualification without any extra effort
  • We are experienced in working with project management certification applicants via long distance.

The project management certification assessment consists of two components: an interview (via phone or face to face) as well as the submission of a portfolio of evidence, which is based on work you have done over the past 3-5 years. In addition, you need to provide:
  • A self-assessment
  • An update-to-date CV showing recent project experience
  • A third party reference
  • A short summary of at least two projects
